Kylie Jenner Is Donating Kylie Cosmetics Proceeds to Teen Cancer Care

After a summer marred by some less-than-desirable publicity, Kylie Jenner is using her 20th birthday for an act that we can’t help but acknowledge as very selfless.

Ringing in her second decade, the beauty mogul announced that she’ll be donating a portion of all sale proceeds from KylieCosmetics.com today, August 10, to Teen Cancer America — so if you want those Lip Kits and dewy Kylighters, today would be the day to finally pull the trigger. Jenner announced the news via a video on Instagram, explaining that her good friend and cancer survivor Harry Hudson inspired her to support the organization and to use her influence for good.

“I wanted to do something special to celebrate my birthday,” she wrote. “Today I’m donating a portion of the proceeds from all sales on KylieCosmetics.com to @teencanceramerica, an amazing organization who help improve the lives of teens and young adults with cancer. Thanks to @harryhudson, for teaching me about this organization and helping me make a difference!”

To encourage more purchases on her website — thus, more well-deserved money for Teen Cancer America — Jenner is offering a limited-edition birthday makeup bag with any purchase over $60, as well as free shipping. She also recently unveiled a limited-edition “Birthday Collection” on the website, which commemorates the big 2-0 with items, including Cherry Pie lip gloss, mini velvet liquid lipsticks, and multi-colored eyeshadow palettes.

Per a press release sent to Allure, Teen Cancer America is working to “bridge the gap between adult and child cancer care giving teens the opportunity to thrive.” They are creating “state of the art facilities and programs for teens and young adults in hospitals because currently they get treated with young children or adults and have no place of their own.”

In addition to the good fundraising deeds, this has proved to be a landmark week for Kylie Cosmetics. In a recent interview with WWD, Jenner and her mother, Kris, revealed that the company has made about $420 million in sales since launching a mere 18 months ago — and is currently on track to be worth $1 billion by 2022, according to Kris.
